Also remember to never, ever break the forum rules. This is very important to not put yourself in a bad light on the other forum users. Read  the rules to each of them, most have a FAQ section that’s worth looking over before participating.

  • MLM.com – A lot of experienced and successful network marketers hang out here.
  • Site Reference Forum – The forum does require that you post 20 times before you can have a signature file… which is good, because it means they are serious about preventing forum spam.

Tips & tricks that will help you do it more efficiently:

 

  • Join to at least 3 forums.
  • Forum marketing is effective if you’re spending time engaged in meaningful discussions on the forum. Plan to spend 20 minutes every day keeping current on your forums.
  • Join the conversation and provides useful information for other forum users.
  • The more you give to other people, the more credibility you get from them. Your goal is to nurture relationships and gain the trust of members of the forum, then they will check out your signature and websites.
  • Learn from other members. You also can find out something new and interesting!
  • Do not limit only to internet marketing and home based business forums, join also those that represent your hobbies and interests… just have fun!
  • Always use your real name. You want people to get to know you and begin to recognize your name.
  • Do not be afraid to ask questions. If you are just going to sound like an expert you’ll seem fake. No one knows everything.

As you can see in my video above, I have recently been paid so, I thought I would share my 1st Clickbank payment with you. I made this money by marketing a product from my friend Mavis Nong Underground Blogging Secrets.

I know it’s only just over $100.00 and I could have done a lot better than this. However, my reason for doing this was to prove to you that you can make money online. This isn’t how I normally make money online …. I just wanted to prove to you that it doesn’t matter what you sell, when you know how to market the right way online you actually can sell anything you want.

When you follow my marketing strategies to a tee and do what I do you will also be able to market any product to anyone, anywhere in the world.

Every day of the week I am asked by marketers “Hey Sandy… what do you think of this product?”  I always give the same answer. “It doesn’t matter what I think about the product or how good it is, if you don’t know how to market  online, it simply doesn’t matter what the product is. If you don’t learn how to market online you  won’t make money and that’s a fact.

Actually I do have a list and I want you to know that I made this money without telling my list. More proof that you don’t need a huge list to market your product online. I did tell my list about this product, but not until I had made this $100 first. However, I do recommend you build a list because these are the people that you can build a good relationship with and when they get to know and trust you they will buy from you. The trick is to build your list by giving people valuable information, if it’s good and it works they’ll keep coming back for more.

Misleading subject line

This is your first point of contact between you, your business and the reader. Don’t mislead or trick the reader into opening your email as this will only lessen the open rates and build mistrust for future opens. You headline needs to promise the reader that they have something to gain by opening your mail.

A lot of thought should be put into your headline to assure a high open rate. One way to ensure that your headline has success is to test a small percentage of your subscriber list by sending two different headlines with similar wording and then check the open rates.  Most email marketing tools have this key feature mainly used by sophisticated marketers and frequently ignored by others.

Build Familiarity

Always make sure that when emailing your name or business name appears in the same place every time. Not only does this brand your business the reader will become familiar to your branding and know what to look for when browsing their email. When you are providing your reader with valuable content, they will keep their eye out for your trademark brand in your email.

Many mailers’ think it’s the size of the data base that makes the difference to an emailing campaign. However, the level of engagement the ability to understand your target market and their preferences and behaviours is far more important that the size of the list. You could have a large list of thousands and only 10% of this list may be active then you will have a small audience. However, you may only have a list of 1,000 people where 75% are active and your responsive is higher. So, is not all about how big your list is but how responsive those are who are on your list.

You have probably either seen this happen a lot or have been guilty of doing this sometime in your email/marketing life. A big mistake when emailing is to cram the body of the email with too much information and too many links. You must remember you aim is to have your reader follow through on a call to action, not to be distracted while reading your mail. After all, you managed to get them in with your awesome subject line so now you want to give them the information they came for and turn them into a prospective qualified lead.

The key to good email content is to elaborate on the promise you made in the subject line while continuing to withhold just the right amount of information to encourage your recipients to click on the call to action. Many small business owners make the mistake of not having a clear call to action. Email marketing is still a cost effective sales driver and so it’s important for the business to drive their traffic via the call to action into their only store or to relevant content on their landing page.

Tacky Email Design

Many marketers tend to get carried away with the design of an email. This can be time consuming and also this can be a barrier between the reader and your business.

Avoid visual elements or animation within your email design, which can actually make your email hard to read and/or obscure the value proposition. This is especially valuable information for those using Solo Emailing systems. More times than not when you see a Solo email from a business that has been given special effects to make the email stand out, such as different coloured text in each paragraph.

Really, all you are achieving by doing this is making your email look tacky and unprofessional and not worthy of reading.

Too much of a bad thing

Sending many emails during the day can be one way to have people unsubscribing from your mailing list. This is a big no no when using email marketing as an effective marketing strategy. A comfortable mailing rate is one that is not too disturbing to your reader, after all they have subscribed to receive your emails, you just don’t want them to be overwhelmed. I would say a comfortable rate would be one every day for a week or so after sign up and then perhaps once or twice a week. This of course is if you are only emailing your personal list.

Email marketing is great for building your business, introducing yourself to the online community in your niche and building and gaining more visitors to your blog.  I really wouldn’t suggest that you send your business opportunity to an email list through an email marketing company. You should be building a business relationship with these large email lists and you can invite them to your blog to gain the valuable information you have to share. Once they see the valuable information you are offering, they will keep coming back and eventually may even become long term customers.

It’s still very cool to practice email marketing methods these days….. just stick to the rules and you’ll be on to  a winning marketing strategy.

I am going to share with you a way to keep your business open 24 hours a day so you can be generating sales and leads into your business even while you are sleeping. By placing ads in the right places your business will be running on autopilot 7 days a week 24 hours a day.

Banner Adverstising

The majority of businesses are no longer using PPC these days, mainly due to the changes to Google algorithms. This means people are now going back to basics and one of the oldest methods of advertising online, which is banner advertising. Advertisers are now finding their banner advertising is getting results and the advertiser is also spending more time on design and making their banners more interactive. Consequently, more people are clicking on their ads and they are acquiring more people into their business and more money into their bank accounts.

You will need to find advertising sites within your niche. For instance, if you are into dog training you will look for advertising sites within the dog industry.  The type of sites you will find will find to advertise your dog training on would be dog grooming salons, pet shops, pet food supplies etc. Here you will find your target audience, meaning the people searching these sites are most likely to also be dog owners who would be interested in your dog training.

Your target audience might be, internet marketers, entrepreneurs, affiliate marketers etc. so, in this instance you could try sites such as new sites, CNN,MSNBC or USA TODAY. The types of person these sites attract are business people, small business owners, the retired sector, people interested in stocks and bonds and business news in general, big thinkers.

I don’t recommend you place your banner ad on the first page of these sites as you will find the front page is generally the most expensive. You will need to dig a little deeper into the site to find the less expensive advertising spots and to target your demographic audience i.e. those people you are wishing to join your business. On most of the news sites you will find a business page and then the small business page or a page about money. This is what I mean when I say dig a little deeper.

On most of the top news sites, if you navigate to the bottom of the sites you will see a link that says “Adverting” once you click on this link as a rule you will be taken to a media kit where you will see their advertising costs, Ad sizes etc. The media kit will also give you demographics in regard to how many visitors the site gets, women, men, age brackets etc.

You will find, there are many different sites to place your banner advertising, some more expensive than others. You will need to test which ones work for you the best and once you start getting results you will obviously use these site more consistently. It’s a good idea not to put all your eggs into the one basket when it comes to banner advertising. Set up banners on many different sites, this way if one banner stops working you still have banners on other sites bringing new leads consistently into your business.

Another tip if you want to find out how much traffic a site is getting and whether it’s lucrative for you to advertise on it all you have to do is check out the site on Alexa.com. You can dig around on Alexa.com and find the most popular sites in your niche.. i.e. health, business, weight loss etc.

You will also need to find sites to advertise on that are within your price range. The above site could be classified as too expensive for you and you might like to try some less expensive sites mentioned below.

It all depends on what you are advertising, who your target audience is and how much you have to spend.

Testimonials are an effective free marketing tool for your business whether you have an online or an offline business. Even if your business is just in its infancy stage, you should still ask your happy customers to give you a recommendation as testament to your product or service.

Testimonials can be given in several ways, either written, audio or video. Written and audio although very good, video is a sure fire way for your prospective client to identify more with the person in the video. You can be sure that people relate more when they can hear tone and voice inflections and therefore builds a stronger bond with the viewer.

When displaying a written or audio testimonial it a good idea to not only have a recent picture of the person, but also full name and where they are from and it can also makes the testimonial more credible if you have a website and a phone number. This isn’t always possible for privacy reasons, however if the person doing the testimony gives permission, you should use this format.


Businesses that give outstanding service deserve testimonials from their satisfied customers. Not only will this bring more business into the company it actually confirms to the purchaser that this is a company that is true to its word, does a great job above and beyond the call of what they offer. In the internet age and with so many scams online… it’s hard to know which is which…. scam or good guy. This goes to show the power of the testimonial which you can clearly display on your website or blog. People are constantly looking for confirmation of how good a business or product is and how credible the owner is, before they purchase goods or enter into a new enterprise. It is especially important in the virtual world where you don’t have a walk in off the street customer who you could actually ask their opinion and see a real person.

However, it is not difficult to contact people on the internet these days and with the help of testimonials it makes it easy to check opportunities out so you can make an informed decision.

Giving Testimonials is also a good way to advertise your business. Be sure to put your phone number or skype details under your photo so people can contact you right away without having to search you out.

Using testimonials as a marketing method is extremely underrated as a way for prospective business partners to learn more about you, your business and the products you promote and a simple way to build trust.
