Inspire Action….. Do YOU?
I work from home and I’m not surrounded by a constant plethora of inspiration. Like many leaders I subscribe to Simon’s Inspire Action notes which are available via his Start with Why website. Not only have I been sharing his notes to Inspire Action for over a year now, Simon’s notes still Inspire Action for me in my everyday life, even though I have read every one of them to date.
Here are some of my favourite Inspire Action Notes
True leaders do not work to do better than anyone else. They work to do better than themselves. And that’s what makes them better leaders.
When you delegate tasks you get things done. But when you delegate responsibility, others get done much more than you ever could.
In times of uncertainty, the leaders who stand out are the ones who remain certain of their decisions.
Profit comes as a result of being good at what you do. Trust comes as a result of being good at why you do it.
The ability to see order in chaos is called creativity.
We can teach only if we are willing to learn.
Problems only exist for those who don’t look for solutions.
Give people a reason to come to work, not just a place to go to work.

Motivational Speaker – Janine Shepherd
When you wake up every morning you just never know what the day will bring.
Janine Shepherd is one amazingly courageous woman, who also happens to be a Motivational Speaker inspiring men and women here in Australia and globally.
Her story reads like the plot of a Hollywood movie. A champion cross country skier in training for the winter Olympics, her life was irrevocably altered when she was run over by a truck during a training bicycle ride to the Blue Mountains in Sydney, Australia.
Doctors told Janine she wouldn’t walk again or have children for that matter, shattering news for any woman. For Janine, this wasn’t a barrier and she eventually learnt to walk again, became a mother and wife an aerobatic instructor, motivational speaker, inspirer to many people all over the world and also here in her home country, Australia.
I’ve heard many inspiring stories in my lifetime and none have touched me more than the story of Janine. In the coming weeks I will be working closely with her and I’m looking forward to attending her next Motivational talk at the Business Woman’s Network this Wednesday September, 7th.
I’ve seen the movie, “Never Tell Me Never”, based on Janine’s bestselling book of the same name, starring Claudia Carvan and I’m half way through another of her books “On My Own Two Feet” and I’m looking forward to hearing her speak.
Did I mention this amazing woman is a bestselling author and has recently been invited to Ted.com to share her story, a story that is sure to be one of the most inspirational you will hear in your lifetime, so stay tuned for updates.

1. Visualisation – Bring yourself to that place of whatever it is you are trying to create. You must have a vision bigger than making money – i.e. who else will benefit from your success… family, children etc.
2. Daily income producing activities – Money Making Activities. Ok, this is anything that productively brings money into your business – Marketing and talking to prospects – this will yield the highest return on investment. (ROI) You should be having at least 5 conversations per day.
3. Mastermind with Leaders
If you are not already, start hanging out with those who have already achieved the success you are looking for. It’s these successful people who will show you exactly what you need to do to have the same success they have had.
4. Personal Growth & Development – you should indulge for at least 30 minutes a day in some sort of personal development. This is just as important as marketing your business, for without personal growth your business will stagnate. These activities would include reading motivational books, audios, YouTube videos watch or read about topics that have the ability to change your perspective. Studying – Sales and Marketing, increasing your knowledge.
People are looking for a leader they want to associate, someone that has already been there done that. You need to set targets for yourself. For instance, picture your perfect day, exactly how it would look. Now right down exactly what you would need to do to make the money to be IN that perfect day. Unless you truly understand your “WHY”, you will only get in your own way. You need to feel the dream!
When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change which leads me to why I wrote this post for you. Successful people do what unsuccessful people don’t do. Think of your business as a seed – Plant the seed > water it > give it food > nothing happens… weeks have past and yes your plant is growing you just can’t see it. Your business is also like this, everything you do in and for your business is just like this plant. After the work you put in you will see the top of the plant start to sprout, just like your new business and so the show begins and you start to see the fruits of your labour.
5. Cultivate that expectation of leadership i.e. I expect my team to step up and take this opportunity. No one can do it for you, there is no marketing platform or programme to do it for you either. YOU have to do it! I hear this all the time – I tried online business but it was too hard. There is no such thing as trying, you either do it or you don’t do it! It’s that simple.
You will notice the most content on this page I put into the personal development and growth section. If you think about it you will see it makes total sense that by putting this time into your personal development and growth that you will then have this knowledge to pass onto others. Having a strong mind and an I’m not quitting attitude is what will actually carry you through the times when you want to quit and walk away… the times when you have fed, watered and nurtured the seed and you are waiting for your business to germinate.

Today I have a special message specifically for the MLM Leaders and MLM Corporate owners or Network Marketers and Affiliate marketers. You are the people I am directing my message to today! There’s a big shift that’s taken place which affects you, the above leaders directly. It’s time to step up and be the progressive leader.
In general my messages are mostly directed to distributors however, I am aware that in my list I have many MLM Leaders and Corporate owners as well. When I say MLM Leaders and Corporate owners I’m referring to those of you who are adaptive or progressive leaders and owners.
There have been some huge changes in the MLM/Networking Marketing Industry which I keep up to date with on a consistent basis, keeping you up to date with the latest changes on the internet but most of all I’ve been keeping you updated with the latest marketing techniques.
The Game Changer
What’s the game changer here and what puts you in the category of an adaptive/progressive leader? Well, it all has to do with the internet.
Let me explain. Way back when, it used to be that you could have full control of the information your distributors were receiving. They would come to your coffee meetings, your hotel meetings and your home meetings and you had total control about all the information your distributors were receiving. As little as 10 years ago this was still happening… and it’s still happening in smaller circles today. However, this is not how it works anymore.
I really think most of you now realise the change that’s happened, however it’s how you respond to this change that qualifies you and makes you a progressive leader. Let me explain further. The progressive leader works with the change where the old school leader is afraid of the change and clings to the old ways. The reality is that you just can’t run a profitable business using old school methods. It’s like you are possibly trying to gag your team because you are the only one they should be listening to, because your way works. And yes, it may have worked 10 years ago and was the MLM blueprint going back 50 years ago, but in today’s market these methods just aren’t working any more.
Why? Well let just run over a few things that happen today online. While your distributors are at your hotel meeting they could be popping your name into the search engines on their iphone or lap top to check you out. When they can’t find you they start to think you have no standing as a leader in your industry. You just can’t escape the fact that we have far more intelligent, savvy and smart business people in today’s market and you just can’t pull the wool over their eyes anymore. The progressive leaders today get that and this fact can still be an enormous challenge. Think about this….. one of those smart savvy business people on your team has access to the latest most up to date training on the internet to learn how to grow their business, and here is the scary part for some leaders, not the progressive leaders of course.
Your downline member, the smart savvy one I mentioned above, can go flying right past you and that is a real possibility in today’s market. Perhaps you’ve already seen this happen with your downline. Wondering how you can overcome this happening to you? The first fact is you need to accept that this is happening daily and you need to grow and evolve as a different leader. How would that make you look? The possibility of you becoming a more transparent, open and honest leader is THE place to start to be that resource leader, the person your team comes to because you have the above qualities. Another approach to this is you could do it as a team, even if you’re not sure what’s out there in the way of resources your team will have more respect for you if you join forces with them and approach these new resources together.
New leaders in MLM and Network marketing are comfortable having new leaders develop around them and they are certainly not intimidated by their people. They get excited, inspired by and motivated by their team development and this leaves the old school leader behind.
My message to you is, it’s time that you were willing to learn the new ways of the progressive leader and I’m here to support your efforts. As I said earlier I’m keeping up to date with these new growth aspects of the internet and I’m always gathering new content to help you move forward and grow your business to a new level. I personally want to empower you to become the leader in your MLM or Network Marketing business so you can step up and be that progressive leader that will actually attract the best people into your business. But, if you are still operating in the old school way, you will most definitely lose those people. These people are learning new skills and genuinely will go flying past you in the income stakes if you don’t start to take action now and be that progressive leader.
I urge you today to take action and start the ball rolling in your position as a progressive leader and to also start attracting progressive leaders into your business.
