Those of you that already have an association with BetterNetworker know that it’s THE place to find content, post your own content or learn from other Internet Marketers and the content that they have posted. One important part of branding is the image you yourself portray. Developing a likeable personal brand is essential for succeeding. If you want to rise to the top of your particular arena, you need to first be able to sell yourself to your potential customers. Think about it…… The one thing that everybody wants in network marketing is to learn and duplicate a successful leader.
The most important thing about personal branding is to make sure that you are authentic and that you are also friendly and welcoming. The first impression a prospect receives from you is important because something I learnt some time ago is that people buy people – not products or businesses.
Below is a list of things to accomplish to position yourself as an expert in your field and build your own personal brand:
1) Become an expert source – master internet marketing and personal branding. This is a skill that will allow you to write your paycheck for life. You are not reliant on one company for your success , you are the success.
2) Become a great communicator – Learn how to communicate and influence people to do better and demonstrate leadership.
3) Set actionable goals – Draft your annual marketing plan and review it quartely. Include specific goals, strategies and weekly and daily steps to take.
4) Build your list – Use a good auto-responder service to follow up with your list and develop a relationship with your list. People like to know, like and trust you before they buy from you.
5) Network with other successful people – Most successful people have successful friends and like to mix with other people who they can share ideas with.
6) Give something back. Giving your time, talent, and money to charitable causes is a brand-builder especially when it complements your brand strategy. Find a cause you are passionate about.
7) Lead by example – always keep up to date with marketing skills and be an action taker. You will see far more duplication and inspire others to want to duplicate you when you are a person of aciton.
Your personal brand is one of your greatest business assets. Put more time and effort into it than you do branding your product. In the end, if you can’t sell yourself, you’ll find it nearly impossible to sell your product. You can be just like everybody else out there and scream and shout until you are blue in the face about how great your product or company is, but unless you invest time and money into educating yourself and building your own brand – you will never acquire the skills to be self sustaining in this industry.
To build your own brand and get a comprehensive marketing education to build that brand online you need to learn from the best.

What to do when you’re Domain Name is already taken can easily be fixed when you are looking to brand yourself online. Ok, so you’ve found the perfect business opportunity online and now you want to start branding yourself so you can promote YOU Inc and your new business.
I am writing this article because this is exactly what happened to me. Pressed with the question of how I will brand myself when my domain name is already taken. That’s when I decided on the brand name WhoisSandyMoore.com.

Branding myself online and having my own domain name.com was important for my business growth. When I attempted to register SandyMoore.com it was already owned by another Sandy Moore, my identity was gone, Oh NO! How was I ever going to rank on Google out of about 1,150,000 results for Sandy Moore? Of course I would love to be ranked on page 1 of Google and that’s exactly where I am headed. However, considering I’ve only ever used free methods to advertise my brand I’m happy with my position for the moment.
Find a Domain Name
First find yourself a domain registrar, there are many online to choose from. You can check to see if your domain name is already registered by going to GoDaddy or Crazy domains. Just type in the domain name you want and see if it’s still available. Here you will be given some other suggestions if your first choice is already gone. I don’t recommend you go with most of these suggestions as they would most likely not be great choices for branding your business.
If you are desperate to have your particular domain name you can always look up the who is for that domain and approach the owner and ask them if they are prepared to sell. Quite often you will find that the domain name is being parked or no longer used and this is a way for the owner to make money from selling it to whoever wants it.
I can’t emphasise enough the importance of using your own name to brand yourself online. After all, it is common knowledge that people join people and not businesses.
By using your own domain.com name to brand yourself people will get to know you and trust you and therefore will want to know more about you. Firstly through social networking, email marketing, your blog site and all the articles you write about your business or interests.
Domain Name Options
Here are some other options for domain name branding if your name is already taken. Ok, let’s say your name is John Smith and of course johnsmith is already taken as it’s a rather popular name. You could choose a variation of your name. For instance you could choose whoisjohnSmith.com, IamJohnSmith.com or Johnsmithonline.com, JohnSmithsWebsite.com or pop in your middle initial JohnWSmith.com. So you see here are many possibilities available to you even when your domain name has already been taken by someone with your name.
